These are questions that we at SpeedChimp are frequently asked...
Q: You guys are awesome! How did you get that way?
A: Yes, we are pretty awesome. Thank you for noticing. How did we get that way? Our motto says it all really. If you do everything half-assed, you can get twice as much done. Or knock off early for a beer. Either way, it's a win. But it's a huge win if beer is involved.
Q: Do you really expect to completely dominate the 24 Hours of LeMons?
A: Why not? We are ignorant and over-confident. What could go wrong?
Q: What's in that salsa you bring to parties.
A: That's a secret.
Q: Why doesn't your store have anything that I'm interested in?
A: Because you haven't told us what you want. Let us know what you want to buy and we'll make it for you.
Q: The prices on your store are pretty high. Why are you gouging your fans? It's like buying a T-Shirt at an Eagles or Madonna concert.
A: We don't mark the prices up at all. Those are our costs too. Custom, on demand T-Shirt printing just isn't cheap. There are quantity price breaks available and sometime in the near future, we'll try to place an order large enough to take advantage of those. No one within Speedchimp Racing makes a dime from our T-Shirt sales.
Q: Why are your website and store so crappy?
A: Have you read our motto?
Q: How many drivers do you have on your race team?
A:We have four drivers (Carl, Melissa, Mike, & Van). We also have a Crew Chief named Roger.
Q: How long is a race?
A: Races are usually 14 and a half hours. Typically 9 hours of racing on Saturday and five and a half on Sunday.
Q: That seems weird. Why do they run the races that way?
A: How the hell should we know?
Q: How long does each driver spend in the car?
A: Stints usually last 90 minutes. Sometimes a little longer, sometimes a little shorter. There are a lot of factors that determine how long a stint is.
Q: Can I come watch you race?
A: Shit yeah! We would love to have you come cheer us on, hang out in our pit area, laugh at our ineptitude, and drink our booze. Wait, scratch that last part. Bring your own booze.
Q: When and where will you be racing?
A: Check our NEWS!NEWS!NEWS! page for updates on our plans.
